Job Role-Senior SLP

Job Description

Stepping Stones Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder is looking for a skilled, sympathetic senior Speech Language Pathologist to provide quality care for our patients. Perform screenings, assess patient condition, and design therapy and treatment plans to help the patient develop necessary speech skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise SLP’s and SLPA’s by providing 1 hour of 1:1 supervision for each SLP/SLPA and 1-2 hours of group supervision per month

  • Ensure compliance with all DHCC/CPQ licensing requirements (including ongoing requirements for license renewals, etc.) as well as regulations pertaining to practicing SLP’s

  • Train speech therapists, as needed, and support other trainings needs of the company

  • Support recruitment needs (including interviewing and candidate selection) for the SLP department

  • Collaborate with the Program Director and other related management staff, as needed, regarding client matters, duties, and personnel assigned for supervision

  • Conduct Speech Therapy across various settings (e.g. schools, client homes, clinic)

  • Conduct assessments and report writing

  • Review SLP and SLPA assessment reports/goals/progress reports/goal updates for editing prior to SLP assessment reports/goals being finalized

  • Collaborate with related clinicians (e.g. OT, Behavior Consultant) working with the same client as such needs arise

 

Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Speech-Language Pathology  plus at least 2-year post-graduate work experience

  • MUST meet DHCR licensing criteria as a Speech Therapist
